STEM at Seaham

STEM education is the learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Students gain and apply knowledge, deepen their understanding and develop creative and critical thinking skills through inquiry and project based learning. At Seaham teachers are integrating STEM into their class programs. Senior classes recently designed and constructed bridges to hold mass. The students really enjoyed the activity and achieved a goal by working as a team. Several year 6 students also attended a STEM day at Hunter River High School where they competed against teams from other partner primary schools.
