New Path's 2014

New Pathways 2014

During 2013 it was identified that we had a main traffic pathway in the school that was being used from the top playground to the bottom playground, with no formal path inplace.  This meant that the area had potential trip hazards for students and members of the community.

We recommended that formal paths be installed to ensure that we didn't have a serious safety issue in our playground or at a community and school event.

We approached Hanson Quarries at Brandy Hill to see if they would assist with the path.  Hanson have incredible sense of community and contribute to so many locate projects that would often not go ahead without their additional support.  Yet again this community support has been on display, Hanson has supplied all the reinforcing steel and concrete for the path.  This would have been significant cost to the P&C if this support was not offered.  Thank you Hanson your support is amazing.

New Path now in place (just waiting on some finishing off)

While we where installing paths and tidying up the playground we have also installed an additional path from the existing path in the top playground straight across past the school bell and connecting up with the path at the other end.

Path areas all mulched and ready for school to go back.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped get this project complete over the holidays ready for school to go back.
